Open almost any audio file and export it as MP3, WAV, or a native format your browser can encode (OGG/Opus, WebM, or M4A where supported) — no uploads, no plugins.
The Audio Converter changes audio between MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG (Opus) and M4A (AAC) entirely in your browser. It reads MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC, OGG, Opus, FLAC and more — whatever your browser can decode — and writes the format you choose.
Where other converters upload your file and make you wait, this one processes locally, previews the encoded output (including codec artefacts at low bitrates) and shows the exact final file size before you download.
Decoding uses the browser’s native codecs at the file’s own sample rate. Encoding: WAV is written directly (16/24-bit PCM with optional TPDF dither, or 32-bit float); MP3 uses a LAME-based encoder at constant bitrate, with sample-rate and bitrate snapped to values the MP3 standard allows; OGG Opus and M4A AAC use your browser’s built-in encoder through the MediaRecorder API, which runs at real-time speed. After a lossy encode the result is decoded again so the preview and file size are the real thing.

MP3 for compatibility, WAV for editing, Opus for the smallest good-quality files, M4A for Apple devices.
Only your device’s memory.
MP3 and WAV are encoded directly and finish almost instantly. Other formats (OGG/Opus, WebM, M4A) are produced using your browser's own built-in recorder, which works in real time — so a 4-minute file takes about 4 minutes for those formats specifically.
The list only shows formats your specific browser can actually encode, detected automatically. Chrome and Firefox generally offer the most options; Safari's set differs.
Not yet — those need a dedicated encoder that isn't wired up in this build. MP3, WAV, OGG/Opus and WebM are fully supported today.
