Audio Loop Maker

Trims a section and blends the very end back into the very start with a short crossfade, so the loop point doesn't pop or click when it repeats — for game audio, ambient beds, or practice loops.

How to use the Audio Loop Maker

  1. Add your audioDrop a file onto the page or tap to browse — or press “try a built-in sample” to explore first. Nothing is uploaded; the file is decoded on your device.
  2. Pick the loop regionSelect the part to loop, then choose a crossfade length at the seam; use the Loop button to listen to the repeat.
  3. Make the seamless loopPress Make a seamless loop — the end is blended into the start so it repeats without a click.
  4. DownloadPick MP3 or WAV and press Download. You can even listen to the exact file you just saved before you close the page.

About the Audio Loop Maker

The Audio Loop Maker turns a section of audio into a seamless loop — one that repeats forever with no click, jump or gap. Make ambient beds, game music loops, sampler loops, hold music or background tracks for video.

Zero-crossing snapping, a crossfade you can see and hear, and a Loop button on the player let you refine the seam until you cannot find it.

How the Audio Loop Maker works

For a loop of length L with crossfade X, the output is L−X long: its first X samples are the original head multiplied by sin(πt/2X) plus the original tail (the X samples that would have come after) multiplied by cos(πt/2X). When the loop restarts, the last sample flows into a first sample that already contains the end of the original — the join is continuous. An equal-power curve keeps the level steady across the seam.

Tips for the best results

  • Pick loop points on the same beat (use the BPM Detector) for rhythmic material.
  • Use longer crossfades (0.5–2 s) for ambient sounds; 10–50 ms for rhythmic loops.
  • Enable Selection only + Loop to audition the seam.

Frequently asked questions

What is a seamless loop?

A clip that repeats with no audible join.

Why is the loop shorter than my selection?

The crossfade overlaps the end and start, shortening it by the crossfade time.

Why does my loop click without this?

A hard cut rarely lines up two identical waveform points, so there's a sudden jump in amplitude at the seam — audible as a click or pop every time the loop repeats.

How much loop-point smoothing should I use?

30–50ms is usually enough to eliminate clicks without being audible as its own effect. Very percussive material may need a shorter crossfade; smooth pads/drones can often take a longer one.
