Keep only the part of a track you need. Drag the start and end markers over the waveform and export a clean clip in seconds.
The Audio Trimmer keeps one stretch of a recording and discards everything before and after it. It is the right tool for shortening a clip to the good part: chopping dead air off a voice memo, extracting a chorus, preparing a sample, or making a clip fit a platform’s length limit.
Handles can be dragged on a live waveform, nudged with the arrow keys (±10 ms, hold Shift for ±100 ms) or typed in as exact timestamps, and Selection only playback lets you hear precisely the section that will survive, with looping if you want to fine-tune the end point.
Trimming copies the samples between the two markers into a new buffer and applies a short fade at each end (2–5 ms by default; up to 500 ms if you want a deliberate fade-in or fade-out). Markers can snap to the nearest zero-crossing so the new first and last samples start and end at silence, which keeps the clip free of clicks when it is looped, concatenated or played by a sampler.
No re-encoding happens until you download, so repeated trimming of the same source does not stack up generation loss.
Strip the fumbling before and after you start talking.
Grab a 2-bar phrase from a longer recording for a sampler or DAW.
Cut a 10–30 second highlight for a phone alert.
Shorten audio to meet upload limits such as 60-second previews or 3-minute demos.

Yes — the Start and End boxes accept m:ss.ms or plain seconds.
No. Only the length changes.
Edits are sample-accurate; the displayed times are rounded to 10 ms.
No. If you export as WAV there's no quality loss at all. MP3 export uses a standard 192kbps encode, which is transparent for almost all listening.
No hard limit is enforced by ToolsCrow — the practical limit is your device's memory, since the whole file is decoded locally.
Yes — trim the section you want, export as MP3, then set it as your ringtone using your phone's normal settings.
