Convert a standard musical key to its Camelot wheel notation for free — the harmonic-mixing system DJs use to find compatible tracks.
The Camelot Wheel Key Converter translates between musical keys (C major, A minor…) and the Camelot and Open Key notations DJ software uses, and lists which keys mix well with it. Choose a key or enter a code and get the conversion plus the same-key, relative, ±1 and energy-shift neighbours.
Harmonic mixing — blending tracks whose keys are related — avoids clashing notes and makes transitions sound smooth.
The Camelot wheel arranges the 24 keys in a circle of fifths: numbers 1–12 go clockwise (each step is a perfect fifth up) and the letter shows mode — A = minor (inner ring), B = major (outer ring). C major = 8B, its relative A minor = 8A, G major = 9B, F major = 7B. Open Key numbers the same circle differently (C major = 1d, A minor = 1m). Compatible moves: same number/letter, same number other letter (relative), ±1 same letter, ±2 for a mood lift or drop.

A minor (the A ring) at position 8 on the wheel.
5A, 5B (relative), 4A, 6A, plus 3A and 7A for energy shifts.
A relabeling of the circle of fifths (numbers 1-12, plus A for minor / B for major) that DJs use to quickly spot which keys mix harmonically without needing music theory knowledge.
Generally: the same code, the same number with the other letter (relative major/minor), or an adjacent number with the same letter.
