Checking a list before you send to it
A contact list collected over time accumulates duplicates, malformed entries, and generic role-based addresses (admin@, info@) that behave differently from personal addresses in email campaigns. Validating format, deduplicating, and flagging role addresses before sending catches these issues while they're still cheap to fix.
Why role-based addresses get flagged separately
Addresses like info@ or noreply@ often belong to shared inboxes or automated systems rather than individuals — worth knowing about separately since they typically need different handling (or exclusion) in personal outreach or marketing sends.
What counts as an invalid email in this check?
Anything containing an @ symbol that doesn't match a valid email address pattern — a genuine typo or malformed entry, not just an unusual but valid address.
Does the domain breakdown reveal anything useful?
It's often the fastest way to spot a typo'd domain affecting many entries at once (like "gmial.com" appearing dozens of times) that would be tedious to catch row by row.
