About this tool
Sometimes you don't want a named resolution like 720p, you just want the video half the size, or three-quarters, or a bit bigger to match another clip. This tool scales both dimensions by the same percentage, so the picture is never stretched or squashed: 50% on a 1920×1080 video gives exactly 960×540.
Percentages under 100% shrink the video and its file size together, which is a quick way to cut a large clip down without thinking in pixels. Percentages over 100% enlarge it, useful for matching a fixed frame in an edit, though enlarging never adds real detail; it only makes the file bigger.
