Creates a downloadable metronome click track — with an accented downbeat each bar — at your chosen tempo and time signature, ready to drop into a DAW or send to a bandmate.
The Click Track Generator makes a metronome audio file of exact length for recording sessions, practice and live play. Set the tempo, bars, time signature, subdivisions and sound; add a count-in; or let the tempo ramp gradually from one BPM to another.
The first beat of each bar is accented, subdivisions are quieter, and every click is placed on its exact sample position, so the track stays in time even over hundreds of bars.
Click times are computed by integrating the tempo: each pulse is 60/BPM/subdivisions seconds after the previous one (with a linear BPM ramp if enabled). Each click is a short synthesised burst — a decaying sine, a triangle for wood, or noise for a hi-hat — placed at the nearest sample; accents use a higher pitch and amplitude. Count-in bars are simply extra bars at the start.

The Online Metronome plays live in your browser for practicing along in real time. This generates an actual downloadable audio file you can import into a DAW, share, or use in a project.
It's a louder, higher-pitched accent so you can hear where each bar starts — standard practice for click tracks used in recording.
This tool runs entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. Nothing is uploaded, stored or shared — there is no server to send your file to, so it works offline once the page has loaded.
