Multi-File Schema Checker
Upload several CSV files and check whether they share the same column names and order — essential before merging or concatenating them.
How to use Multi-File Schema Checker
- Start by providing the required input: Drop 2 or more CSV files.
- No additional settings need to be configured.
- Run the tool with Compare Schemas.
- Review the result or preview on the page and confirm it matches your input before using or sharing it.
The merge mistake that's invisible until the data is already combined
Combining several CSV exports that were supposed to share the same format — but don't quite — produces a merged file with misaligned columns that's hard to spot after the fact. Checking schemas against each other before merging catches the mismatch while it's still easy to fix.
Reading the position comparison
Beyond just "which columns are missing," seeing each column's position in every file flags cases where the same columns exist everywhere but in a different order — a subtler problem that silently misaligns data during a naive row-stacking merge.
How many files can I compare at once?
No fixed limit — add as many CSV files as you want to check against each other in one pass.
What if column names differ only in case?
They're treated as different columns — "Name" and "name" would show as a mismatch, since casing differences often do indicate a genuinely different source format.
Checking one file's internal consistency instead?
Use the Column Consistency Checker (single-file version) for row field-count and data-type checks within one CSV.
