File Size Analyzer
See exactly what's taking up space in a batch of files — largest files, size breakdown by type, and anything over a threshold you set.
How to use File Size Analyzer
- Start by providing the required input: Drop files or a folder to analyze.
- Set the inputs and options shown here: Flag files larger than (MB).
- Run the tool with Analyze.
- Review the results, then choose an output control: Export Full Report (CSV).
Finding out where your storage actually went
"This folder is too big" is easy to notice and hard to diagnose without digging through subfolders manually. Breaking a batch of files down by largest individual files and by total size per file type answers "what's actually taking up the space" in one pass instead of ten.
Setting a useful size threshold
The flagged-files list is driven by a size threshold you set yourself — useful for catching accidental large uploads (a video that shouldn't be in a document folder, a forgotten backup file) that would otherwise go unnoticed among hundreds of normal-sized files.
How is file size read — is this an estimate?
Sizes come directly from the browser's File API, which reports the exact size on disk, not an estimate.
What's a reasonable threshold to start with?
It depends on context, but 10–25 MB is a common starting point for catching outliers in a typical document or project folder — adjust based on what's normal for your files.
Can I export the full report, not just flagged files?
Yes — the CSV export includes every file analyzed, its size, and its extension, not just the ones over your threshold.
