Combining folders without losing files to silent overwrites
Merging two folders manually in a file manager means answering "replace this file?" one popup at a time, with no record of what got overwritten. Choosing a conflict strategy upfront — and getting a count of how many conflicts were resolved — makes a multi-source merge predictable instead of nerve-wracking.
Picking the right conflict strategy
"Rename" is the safest default when you're not sure — nothing is ever silently lost, since conflicting files get a source-number prefix instead of overwriting each other.
What does "Last source wins" actually overwrite?
If the same relative file path appears in more than one source folder, whichever source was added most recently to the merge determines the final file in that spot.
How many source folders can I merge at once?
There's no hard limit — add as many source folders as you need before running the merge.
Does merging modify my original folders?
No — the result is a new combined zip; none of your original source folders are changed.
