Building a template once, reusing it every time
If your team runs the same multi-step process regularly — a monthly report, a client onboarding sequence — writing it out from scratch each time wastes effort and invites inconsistency. Defining it once as a template, with owners and time estimates per step, means every future run starts from the same accurate checklist.
Saving and reloading your template
The template saves as a plain JSON file, so you can keep it in a shared drive or repo and reload it here (or hand it to a teammate) whenever the process needs to run again, rather than reconstructing it from memory.
What's in the saved JSON file?
The template name and every step's description, owner, and estimated duration — enough to fully reconstruct the template by loading it back in.
Can I edit a loaded template?
Yes — load it, add or remove steps as needed, then save it again (as the same file or a new one).
Just need a one-off checklist, not a reusable template?
The Workflow Templates tool offers ready-made presets you can use immediately without building anything from scratch.
