Column Mapper
Map each column in your CSV to a new target name using a simple side-by-side interface, then export the relabeled file — great for prepping data for import elsewhere.
How to use Column Mapper
- Start by providing the required input: Drop a CSV file.
- No additional settings need to be configured.
- Run the tool with Apply Mapping & Download.
- Review the completion message and check your browser downloads for the generated file or archive.
Getting a CSV ready for a system with different column names
Migrating data between systems almost always means the source and destination use different column names for the same thing — "Full Name" versus "name", "Email Address" versus "email". Mapping each column to its new name visually, then exporting, avoids manually renaming headers in a spreadsheet and hoping you didn't miss one.
When to use this versus editing headers directly
For a one-off file with columns that need renaming (not reordering or merging), this is faster than opening the file in a spreadsheet app — type the new names, export, done.
Does this change my data, or just the headers?
Only the header row changes — every data row stays exactly as it was, under its newly mapped column name.
Can I leave some columns unchanged?
Yes — any column you don't edit keeps its original name in the output.
Mapping the same schema across several files at once?
Use the Sheet Standardizer instead, built for batch-mapping multiple files to one canonical schema.
