About this tool
Front-facing phone cameras often save selfie videos mirrored (or the opposite: the preview is mirrored but the saved file is not). Flipping horizontally corrects text that reads backwards, or creates the mirror image you want for a demonstration, a dance tutorial or a reversed-hand product shot.
A vertical flip turns the picture upside down along its horizontal axis. Combine a horizontal and a vertical flip for a 180° turn. You can also rotate at the same time.

How large a video can I use?
Because the video is processed on your device, the limit is your device's memory rather than a server quota. Phone clips of several hundred MB are fine on most devices, and desktop computers usually handle 1 to 2 GB. Files over about 4 GB are not supported.
Which browsers work best?
Current Chrome, Edge and Safari (16.4 or newer, including iPhone and iPad) work best because they include the WebCodecs video engine. Recent Firefox versions work for many files. Older browsers fall back to a much slower real-time mode or may not work at all.
Why is the text in my selfie video backwards?
Some phones save the mirrored preview. Flip horizontally to make text read correctly.
What is the difference between flipping and rotating?
Rotating turns the picture like a wheel; flipping mirrors it like a reflection. Rotating 180° is the same as flipping both ways.
